Nigerian entertainment and filmmaking brand, Julob Entertainment Limited has fixed a date for the premiere of their debut movie, Dinobi. The movie which was shot in the heart of Owerri, Imo State is scheduled to premiere in Havana Cinema on the 30th of June, 2022.

DINOBI was produced by Izu Okafor and co-produced by Igbo Stanford Onyemaizuchi. It was directed by DaVinchi Samuel-Uche, who is notable for movies like Black Wedding, Greenlight, Elozonam, Zikora, and Nze Secret.

It follows the life of Dinobi, a Nigerian campus student, his battles with his abusive stepmother, having an absent father, doing menial jobs and finally getting into the Police net in a bid to survive.
The stepmom creates a façade of herself to her husband, Dr Christopher while showing her real self to her supposed stepson.
This is a story of abuse, true friendship, endurance, and the need to speak up in the face of abuse.

Dinobi featured some of the top Nigerian actors including Chuma Mmeka, Sonia Ogene, Dr. Gloria Ernest-Samuel, Precious Declan, Nonso Richard Odimega and Sandra Nweke.
Speaking on the project, the producer Izu Okafor noted that he wasn’t scared of making a debut as a producer, he however didn’t know what to expect and has learnt a lot on what the industry is about.

‘Dinobi is my first production. We got the story in 2021 and have been working on other projects since then.

The Imo International Film Festival is coming soon and as an Imo born, I decided we should have a feature movie that was shot and produced in Imo State.

It wasn’t easy, pre-production, production and post-production took several months and of course as a debut producer, I didn’t know exactly what to expect.

We did it for you, for us and for everyone else! Huge thanks to the cast, crew, investors and everyone who supported this project in any way.
